True Swede
Hi I have a 98 S70 T5 auto and as far as I've seen all of the T5 auto's have some sort of upgraded (wood/alu) panels in the dash, but it seems like the manuals didn't come with this trim. Instead they have this really dull plastic trim. Is it that I only come across the exceptions or is the cheaper trim the norm on the manuals? If so, does anyone know why? Thanks,TS

Chrisonfire
Yeah mine is the plastic. But the PO bought one of those ebay wood trims. It doesn't look bad, but I like the all dark interior, I just havent taken the time to remove them yet....

stick70
o and its us spec, the woodgrain was just an optional thing, and no its not added in, if you look under the volvo warranty info screen it has it as a factory option, so i guess i dont support your theory

crazykn
I don't even think my 98 S70 T5 even had a wood trim! Well I can't tell because the previous owner had installed a custom, but REAL wood trim into the car, but underneath was the plastic regular trim. To be honest I don't like this custom REAL wood trim, because some of the cutting tolerances makes switch/radio removal difficult. I even had to remove the wood trim around the radio to get that out.
