Playboy Posted October 6, 2004 Author Report Share Posted October 6, 2004 Ya, my connection @ Volvo is one of the head engineers in Rockley,NJ so all I did was call him and say, "check this car out for me." He's actually the one who works on my cars and my folks cars so he's very trustworthy.Well, from Louisville to Shippensberg,PA that took me 10 hours (that includes stoping once for gas, stoping to piss, stoping for an hour for eats). Then from Shippensburg to NY it took me 3 1/2 hours. Total was around 850 miles <---ironic?I ain't that hardcore, I just tend to wear my hat that way. I might be a buisnessman during the day but I still got the punk/skater in my blood.I appricate everyone's props towards getting the car and stuff. Wait till you see it up close and personal. Mine had 80k with curb rash and what seemed to be an escapade through a tar pit! I'm happy to see a Volvo in the hands of someone who knows what they have and will take darn good care of it. He also did a 240SX where the hood was stretched out, looked kinda neat. A 2 door 850 would be more body work than I could ever afford, but it would be kinda cool. The original picture does have the 2 shades of yellow in it, I took it in broad daylight and for some reason the back of the car looked really greyish pale. Great color i would have to say. i love mine and wouldnt change it for anything. i know you will enjoy yours. my story is sorta the same, saw it on ebay, called the guy and offered and he took the car off. then i flew down the next morning and partied in Miami for the weekend and drove back up.
