turbomoose
I think it's an interesting topic, so here we go.Dad is Spanish and Italian. His mom is the spaghetti and my grandfathers family is from Barcelona. Both grandparents were born in the US, and my dad was born in '45 and raised in Northern CA. I don't know much of my dads family history. My Grandfather passed away in a horrible car accident when my father was very young, and my grandmother kinda lost it, which left my dad to fend for himself. I don't like bringing it up, I think it makes him upset. He's Catholic turned Jew for my mom. Mom is Polish and Norwegian. My grandmother's family was from Bergen Norway, she came to the US as a child and married my grandfather in '43. My grandfathers parents immigrated from Poland then had my Grandfather several years later. My mom was born in Washington in '52, and moved to N. CA. as a teenager. My parents met at a wedding party in spring '72, got married in fall '73 and out I came, first born in Nov. '78, a complete mutt obviously. I was born and grew up in N. CA. Moved to TX in '90. I was raised as Jewish, but my parents are pretty light on religion. So what's your family like?? ^_^

Smithwicks
50% Irish, 25% Polish, 25% Mix of German and Low Countries. My dad has been able to trace the Irish part of our family back to 1850's, there abouts.
stick70
i wish i could trace mine back, i really dont have much idea, though i do know that my two families have lived in this area for several several generations, i also know of one relative waaaaaaaay back that fought for the confederates back in the day. But much farther back than that i have no idea, probably english if i had to venture a guess. But yeah, weve been in the same place for a real long time
