norcal505
Ipd is a great source of parts, IMO.I have bought alot of good stuff from them. That's why I all always deal with well-known places.I've already been screwed TWICE by people with peugeot parts, 2 broken gauge clusters. It's lame. tozovr
rica tune for 18t, whites, manual ecu for sale? we can do this nick and really monkey oliver over.1: we can socket your "new" ecu, 2: get Oreo's(adam) st 17psi ecu3: read it4: burn a eprom with a "custom" ST reflashed tune.and laugh all the way home! btw, this is real easy to do, if you"know" how to do it.then again this is "stealing", can't do that....its just a thought. We can't be that far off from this. I could hook my laptop to my '89 SHO and do on the fly tuning with the EEC IV controller LOL...in many other enthusiast circles there are guys doing this on their own...we just need to get it figured out. RJPS, take the ST tune and change the idle parameters by 50rpm. Now it's YOUR Custom tune.
Livvakt
Wow. This is pathetic. Not even one response from the vendor.
AaronD81
Wow. This is pathetic. Not even one response from the vendor. He didn't have a single post in the original group buy thread that went on for months. I can't remember him ever posting on VS so I doubt he's even seen this thread.
gmsgltr
I dont think Oliver is on here guys. Meaning on VS. He wouldnt respond anyway... That is how I recieved my ECU as well. Except I also got F'ed because I bought a 94 ECU that was noted as a 96 ECU when I purchased it from a member on here...

Black Betty
WOW this sucks! mainly also because i literally live 20 minutes away and would have been willing to drive the ecu to him and ship it back myself i drove down there to pay for justins ecu and oliver seemed friendly. I believe Oliver is the owner and only employee of ST also no way is he on the boards im surprized he check email. ST is located in a small shop whenever i met him i walked to the back of the shop and into a portable trailer set up with what looked like ST's office
JHEIII874T5M
Nick, sucks to see you are being dealt the short end of the stick with no respect from Oliver. Last time I dealt directly with him was over 5 years ago when I did the initial testing for the Volvo 850 Turbo Stage 1 ECU and Stage 2 ECU development based on dynos/wideband pulls. Oliver is not the best businessman, has actually screwed over a buddy of mine, and about a month later rectified the matter.Good luck getting it resolved and thank god it wasn't the chip on your 2000.
PyROTech
1. ok, so the ecu you got back didnt work?2. you talked to him/email and he said ship it back?3. he agreed it didnt work?4. he said it was shipping damage?5. he told you to claim it under insurance and 100 dollars insurance?6. you believe there is no insurance/or only 100 dollars?7. you want a refund of the tuning cost and ecu replacement cost? or him to get an equal ecu and tune it?8. he is willing only to tune another ecu that you provide, and not cover the damaged ecu's cost? 94850tx
No he told me to get f'ed on the phone last night. He is not willing to do anything. He might change that if he sees this but as of last night he was willing to do nothing for me but keep my money and my ecu.Justin, 1 out of 10 is 10%...that's not very good odds. You would feel differently if you were 1000 miles away and were out an ECU and $255. That's stealing and ripping people off. If you think it's OK to do business with a vendor like that then the problem will never go away because you are supporting them. This is 100% his issue, he did not package it correctly or insure it (from what my post offices says here...he claims $100 but if he did that why is he not willing to claim on his end!?). Why should I source a new ECU and pay for that when he is the one that did not package it correctly and did not fully insure it to begin with? Why would I even want to risk even sending him anything else and risk not even getting that back? And if I do get another chipped ECU if it doesn't work I am F'ed again. The group buy never says no refunds in the original post. He just needs to send my money back and be done with it. I would have accepted another chipped ECU except for this has went on for 3 months now (the entire transaction) and he told me to get f*cked. The fact of the matter is the man is a liar. He told me their policy is I must call and he could not e-mail about the issue- well if he is the owner there really is no policy #1 and #2 he wasn't going to say in an e-mail he was doing nothing because I could then prove 100% on here that's what he said.Nick
