volvo4lif3
I know how you're feeling Nick, regarding Oliver that is. Several years ago, I too participated in a GB for a ST chip. I took the ECU out of my 2001 s80 T6, and sent it to Oliver with money in hand. I spent money on shipping as well, just like you, and awaited the return of my ECU. If you know what a s80 ecu looks like, you know that an 850 ecu and the forementioned s80 ecu are different in size, and don't look the same at all. I attempted to put it in, and to no avail, it didn't fit. I called Oliver to explain that he sent my ECU to Sean in Plano, Texas, and Oliver sent me Sean's ecu in Illinois. I asked if he would pay for shipping; Sean did the same. Oliver's response was that he would NOT refund shipping and that I would have to pay shipping AGAIN (as well as Sean too) for his mistake. At this point I was furious and began speaking my mind. Oliver then said "I will void your warranty if you keep this up."So, just another horrible tale of Oliver's subpar customer service. I'd call the BBB on his arse. I understand where you are coming from, and completely agree that Oliver sucks lol.GL w/ whatever happens man. Remember, good things happen to bad people, and whatever comes around goes around.

PhilippineT5
im just curious.. this thread has been on-going for a few days already.. has the owner of ST even ever replied thru email or PMs?if not i suggest the following:1) buy 5 gallons of Aviation Gas2) bring match sticks3) take a road trip to his shop4) use your imagination aviation gas burns faster and make things more colorful  seriously, im sure someone in this forums have informed the owner of ST one way or the other.. if still he doesnt make an effort to even rectify the situation report him to the BBB fast! volvo4lif3
BBB is better business bureau...Oliver is a shady fellow who doesn't understand 1 bad customer can make business worse for him. Sure, people still buy from him, but he is losing out on potential money and new customers by not taking care of his previous ones. Hes a foreign guy, and i'm not sure if he doesn't understand english well or just doesn't care. I think he's smarter than what he makes it out to be, because fools like me paid TWICE for shipping just to get a product that he jacked up and sent elsewhere. magnum46
honestly, there isn;t much the customers can do. he prolly figures there aren't too many adults in this grop, they live far away, he's collected payment already, transaction is not guaranteed like visa/paypal/amex. call the BB Is ya want to but that is not gonna help. if you want real action, call his state's consumer affairs dept or something. THose will get him nervous cos it will lead to revenue audits and nobody wants a revenue audit. lt
94850tx
Some lady that claims to be the owner has e-mailed me packing wanting the package that the ECU was sent in so that they could try to claim postal insurance (which I highly doubt USPS is going to pay out). I told them I would sent it back if they agreeded that this would be wrapped up in one months time (I've already waited 3 months) regardless of the post offices time it takes to pay the claim and when they return shipped it they sent it with $330 insurance and in a proper box with proper packing materials. They did not want to agree to the month and told me I was at the mercy of USPS paying the claim- I explained again that this is 3 months over due since I sent funds and once again this is THEIR fault and I will be waiting only a month or I will be proceeding further legally. No response back yet.I had to pay return shipping of the ECU to ST and I am sure I will again pay return shipping to send them their packing materials. I will be requesting this money to be paid.Nick

Che'_Moderator
These threads make me cringe and laugh at the same time. This is what happens when you expect vendors to operate on a 10 point margin. They make money where they can. Thats why I have said again and again I am not getting out of bed for less than 70 an hour and 100 points mark up. With low overhead vendors you get what you get some times. That does't make it right but thats just how it is
Guest 300+_T5R_855
Integrity dictates you deliver regardless of the price. If you are willing to do the deal you need to deliver on it.USPS isn't going to do jack. If you want good service you have to use Fedex. I have rarely had a problem and when I have they have paid within 7 days. I have jumped through hoops of fire with USPS, documentation in triplicate, photos, etc... and received nothing in return. Anything that needs t be shipped insured needs to go Fedex or at least UPS. If you want cheap delivery with no guarantees it will arrive go USPS.
