turbomoose
Ok, so this has been going on for a month. If I make a right turn, from a stop, or rolling stop, then FLOOR it, my car hesitates, bucks. At first I thought it was the TRACS cutting the fuel or engine power because I was losing traction. But today I had the TRACS OFF, and it does it.Here's the conditions:ALWAYS on a right turn under heavy acceleration (80-100%)I have steady full boost, but no movement. My RPMS go up to about 2.5K, and hold steady, but there's a jerky, no power feel.Does it in both Econ and Sport modes. Tracs on or off.I'm using 93 octane, mobil 1 10w-30, Replaced the cap&rotor, temp sender, it has Volvo spark plugs, new volvo fuel & air filters, complete new PCV system done 15K ago.I"m not sure if it does it only when I have a full tank. But I have a full tank now, and I noticed it when I was leaving the gas station last time I filled up.What else is there to check??
turbomoose
RuhOH. So I wanted to try making a right turn with the transmission only in 1st gear. I thought the tranny may be hunting for a gear, causing the hesitation. So I read the owners manual and it says engage Winter, then shift into L to hold 1st gear.So I started my car. Engaged Winter mode. Reversed out of my garage. Put the car in L to hold 1st gear, the Arrow of death started flashing and the CEL came on. I crapped my shorts, de-engaged winter, shifted into Drive, and pulled back into my garage. I've disconnected the battery and removed the ECM and TCM. I've rowed the shifter between P and L several times, I've never done this before. And I dont think I've ever shifted into L before either. I think I just somehow ruined my tranny. Whoops. What do I do now?? Call a tow truck or a wrecker??
turbomoose
ok, so I reconnected everything and the flashing arrow went away... but now I have a CEL. So Im gonna scan that right now and see what's what.
turbomoose
I had a Gear Range code. PNP switch. The guy got the CEL to go off, and oddly, I can not reproduce the hesitation. I'm thinking MAYBE my PNP was dirty, and when I'd make a hard right, the engine/transmission would move around enough to disturb the contacts in the PNP switch, causing a hesitation within the tranny.SO now all's well, I have no lights on, and it doesn't burp anymore! Thanks for reading along kids. :D
Austin H
Do your backup lights work?
turbomoose
Yes, there was never an issue with the BU lights. Just a hesitation, which has been resolved, thanks.
