I don't really know mph, but for an 8 sec 80kmph, here in canada, thats really slow. Thats under 60 mph in 8.0 sec, since its 100kmph approx to 60mph (62 to be exact), thats f;in slow imo. A stock cobalt is around that.

also a stock turbo does the 60mph in 6.6 sec?

The stock Cobalt SS's here can’t do better than 9.20s-9.40s in the 1/8th mile (don’t know their mph). 0-50 mph in 8sec does sound slow, but we are talking about how fast you got to the 1/8th and what mph or kph you ran when you got there....just because you got to 50mph in 8 seconds doesn’t mean you got to the 1/8mile in 8 seconds.... I have a fairly moded 850 turbo that I have run at the track a hand full of times, along with my friends running not quite as moded 850 turbos @ 8.90s-9.20s even as high as 9.40s... I'm no expert, but the times I see there and the times I see at the track don’t make much sense to me unless you are not running a real 1/8 mile. I don’t know how they calculate in Canada.

Any other 1/8 miles races out there?

that photos missing the new engine mount...

How I see it with NA vs. Turbo... my na doesn't get good gas mileage (22-25 all around), it's slow compared to a turbo, on the upside the manual is great fun, and the engine still sounds amazing. as a daily driver though, I've never found it slow on the street, never been in a situation where I've needed more power...ok, well there was once when I tried to race an RX8. also it's been very reliable, never a major mechanical issue in 194,000 miles - just a lot of beat up/rusty suspension, thanks to michigan's roads. that said though, I drove a C30 2.0 manual once and it was sooo fast
