Livvakt
From the looks of them in the box right now, my Eibachs are far superior to other lowering springs currently in their boxes.

TaskMule
Hey guys, I know this has been covered before, but I wanted something a little different. I just want to know what your preferences are for lowering springs (max 1.5inches), and thats it,. No why's, or defending your set-up, just the set up alone and one con (no pros), thats it. So one thing you can say bad about your set-up, and thats it, state set-up, and what, if anything, is your biggest concern with the lowering springs. no shocks. Thanks, and much appreciated, I just need a bunch of solid answers for the 850, thanks again, and also again, much appreciated.H&R - No complaints here either. Boost_Junky
Eiback - no noises from them. I think the handling is amazing with the FSD's.
boostjunkie
B&G if they are still around! Lower than eibach and H&R plus they ride better than both
Wagoneer855
I love my ESTs. Good drop, not too stiff, perfect match to the konis.
Autotechnica
Eibach's are soft, they feel like stock spring rates. If that's what you want and a slightly lower car, then they are perfect for you. My experiences with Eibach haven't been good. I've noticed significant sagging in my BMW when I had them for only 1 year. In my Volvo, I removed them after 2 months because they were too soft. I got H&R's right after that, much better springs. It didn't lower quite as much as Eibach's, probably because they didn't sag. They were significantly stiffer and performed miles better on the track, noticeable even less squat during hard acceleration and less body roll in tight bends. Eventually, even the H&R's were too soft for me, I now have KW's, couldn't be happier. However, for a casual driver who does some spirited driving, I would suggest H&R's over Eibach's any day. EST's Sam Steffenson's springs might be something you want to check out as well. Though I haven't tried them, the price is really good. All these springs are progressive. The only Linear springs I know of for the 850 are the TME/IPD springs.Bryan
supra_stephe
dude, just cut your springs, it is way easy, way cheap, and gives you way bouncy ride! it's totaly lame! H & R is a good brand, eibach is very good and makes alot of oem set up's (or so they say).

Kibim
I'm just gonna put it out there, I've got the Intrax springs on the R, very hard, linear springs with a 2" drop. If ride comfort isn't a priority, and handling and traction is, these are what i'd be recomending.
