There is a VIN split for that year where if you have 56 as the sixth and seventh digit of the VIN you get one engine, and 55 you get another. Unfortunately I have the 56 which means my car takes a B5254T 2.4L engine that happens to be significantly more expensive than the 55 option, which is a B5254S. My question is: will either of these motors work, or must I spend the extra cheese and get the 'correct' engine. I need to know definatively! No opinions or "should work"... once this guy gets delivered there are no refunds! The date the car was put into service was 10/22/98.... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Although fun I think that might be a bit more complicated than what we are looking to do!Although it would look cool to throw some perfo's on it if it had the speed...
