Motorola Bluetooth Retrofit

Isn't the Volvo kit just the Motorola IHF1000 Bluetooth Car Kit? If it is (as I suspect) then yes it should work. You just won't be able to use any Volvo factory connector, but instead tapping wires manually.

If you buy the Motorola Kit, its easy to install. It just needs a battery, ground, ignition wires, which should be tapped from the radio harness (the easiest method). If you really wanted to get fancy, you can use a relay (for a ground switching) to tap pin 10 of the radio harness. This pin 10 on the SC-816 radio is known to mute the radio and display "PHONE" on the radio's LCD.

Other than that, just mount the microphone up near the visor, place the speaker (tie it down securely!) in the dash (pointed down), and mount the central unit somewhere.

Most kits (and probably the "volvo" one) come with a switched ground wire that is made to plug into head units to mute them. No relays needed.

i just installed my new Pioneer headunit with bluetooth. It has a built in MIC and broadcasts through the car speakers. Works AWESOME, i was highly doubtful it was going to work well but was honestly blown away...i still have "fitting" to do thats why i have not posted installed pics yet

dont know if your joking but insurance paid for it and its horrible. If i am thinking of the unit in my car.
Not sure what you're talking about??? The Motorola one?

this is where, noice cancelling and full and half duplex comes in. you get the "feedback" with many cheaper systems. ie the cig handsfress ones.
Makes sense. Those EEs have it all figured out ;)
