I figure my turbo is OK, running smooth, as its maxing and holding to 8psi, have spiked to 9psi and the wastegate should be opening at 4.35psi and it its opening right away 1psi. do the math say 8psi + 4.35psi - 1psi =11.35psi holding. UnknownSoldier Posted October 9, 2008 Author Report Share Posted October 9, 2008 Adjust the length of the arm so that it does begin to open at 4.35 psi?Yeah, done that today Alvin, boost is actually building up and holding much better now, pulling much harder but I think it may need one more turn, when it was being adjusted it was coming on about 4.2-4.3 after a few tests and when we went one more turn it was coming on at 4.5psi so my mech said it's better to be conservative then get overboosting problems but it was up to me, i said look ur the mechanic go conservative. OFF TOPIC:Funny thing is back in the day before i injured myself i could have done all of this by myself and even looking at the actual pump, gauge n t piece to test it, it actually took me like half an hour to realise exactly what we were doing, i find it so difficult to compehend things now then previous to the injury, have gone through so much shit mentally and physically in the last 3 years, can't wait to get my shit together, actually thinking of doing a Wolf or Motec tuning course some time in the future, IDK, want to really open my own business or something, maybe become a distro for a few people. UnknownSoldier Posted October 15, 2008 Author Report Share Posted October 15, 2008 Replaced diaphragm today and cut the heatshield a little so i can access the rod easier. Feels even stronger holding at 10/11psi strong. Very happy, now i just need to work out why the tune won't go past 11.5psi?Do i need to shim the CBV?Sent an email to George, he's been really great to deal with My cuz took sum vids.In the first vid this guys walking across the street like he owns it, i was like muthafucka lol steamin'.
