FistFull
We all know the R is AWD and has 300hp..but really how much differnce is there between the T5 and the R S60s. Let the knowledge begin..Go Team S60!
FistFull
Besides the brakes and rims and body kit how hard would it take a T5 S60 to be at R specs or better...
theForgottenone
Personally, I would get an R. Another person at work out a black S60R with altemecca (however you spell it) leather option. It look flawless.Personally, I would get an R. Dmsee
Basically, the R is just for looks . If you looking for power get a T5 if you looking for looks and AWD get an RR only dyno 240whp With Tune and exhaust T5 would rape the R in no time

Mesoam
R has the 4c suspension, much easier to find w/ the M66 e/t/c.Does the t5 use the k24? If you can afford it I would go with the R
Dmsee
T5M should dyno around 215-220 stock that with M56 ONLYEarlier t5 had 16T but late models I think 2005+ have the K24 or something You have to compare 2005 models and once again if you all about looks go with R but if you all about performance go with T5

cmurphy2266
You are welcomed into the R forum. But seriously, I would much rather have AWD than FWD, it's just such a pain in the ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD to launch. But once i'm on the highway and all 22psi of boost are let loose, It just screams. Stage 2 T5 seems similar compared to the stage 2 R.
Leo850T5
i'd get the R for its interior, 6 speed, AWD, exterior and brakesit's not weak on power either, and the world is NOT a racetrack
FistFull
the world is NOT a racetrackYeah I know but its good to have the extra power when u want it..my on friend just got a 04 S60R and I just want my T5 to be faster then his R I could careless about the looks I think my T5 is pretty clean but I just want to be faster.. Syrup
Hmmmm one of the questions since the beginning of the universeWhat is better T5 or R?Haven’t they build a lucking farge machine underneath Switzerland to answer that age old question?T5 ProsAgree! The simplicity and ‘tuneability’ of the T5 are attractive.Heaps of cars out there so aftermarket parts & spares are not a dramaTo a degree… FWD simpler and less weight!T5 ConsFWD – it’s hard to change the laws of physicsYeah, you missed out on the awesome seats & special partsR ProsAwesome top end performance – built for Autobahns4C suspension is great when set-up rightInterior – ooh those seats6spd manual! Can improve performance further – but need to spend a bit (FMIC, ECU, etc etc)R ConsDue to lower numbers, limited with parts…AWD does add weight and complexityAngle gear can be a weak pointDunno – depends what your priorities are.All out ball tearing performance at the low end - take the T5Smooth, sophisticated top end performance – take the R
CHARGER69O1
No speed limiter on the R.
