...and that probably isn't possible with the "Turbo Tuner"

Correct me if i'm wrong Mr Turbo Tuner

kinda...

M4.3 and 4.4 dont deal with boost pressure directly, they increase or decrease it in order to obtain a desired air flow. So from what I understand... Turbo Tuner's "boost map" would actually modify the air flow map which in turn would cause boost to change.

This has nothing to do with the turbo tuner software, that's just how the ECU works. The only thing the turbo tuner does for you is give you a GUI that you can work with instead of looking at seemingly meaningless code.

Added advantage of the physical mods to the ECU is on the fly changes while the car is running. This saves mountains of time compared to how it's usually done (test run, pull ECU, program, test run, ...)

I have the Italian T5, 2liters only. I have no idea about my ecu number. I bet the ECU is different from the 2.3 t5...

My only choice would be the "conversion" or the "off the shelf" option would work too?

Thanks

Peter

For those that have a built engine/larger turbo I would suggest looking into getting a very good dual solenoid EBC to control the boost then have the the stand alone or this software system control all other functions. Having control over boost and load within all rpm and gears is critical.

Ok well someone has made the ecu that im looking for. now my questions...I have used usb ecu's before like the haltec or the hondata. Is your system similar to these systems? for instance would you be able to save the stock maps and save other maps and load them to the ecu at your own leasure? This would give anyone using the same system to beable to email maps to each other all over the world.

Are the maps 3d or simple line graphs bar graphs? or are the similar to an excel map?

Is there a data logging software to this? Like will i be able to read o2 sensor voltage in real time and record where I can see my afr as fast as the ecu does? All the sensors going to the ecu should be readable and changeable.

How much testing has been done on this?

If the software is similar to the hondata this is dead simple. Will there be add on maps like NO2 control (id never use on a boosted car) and water injec control?

This would really hurt ipd and others sales as you can tune on the fly. for example you can set a labtop in the passenger seat read what the ecu is saying at the moment make a quick run down the street, pull over up the fuel values, retard spark, up boost values. Then make another blast down the track/street and make changes again. the key to it all is make very small changes till you have what you are looking for.

if I send you a stock ECU, when you install this thing, will you be able to make the ECU into a euro manual R ECU or something like that, and send it back?

i'm talking about sending you a 96-97 850 turbo US spec ECU, and putting a stock euro 850R manual map onto it so that the tuning is easier.....

and at current rates, what am I looking at in USD for the unit....done up with the manual code? of course I'd have to send you the ECU and get it back with the USB installed, etc....

Nice Pras,

I am thinking about the same scenario except I would be a sending a 95 850 turbo US spec ECU, to have a stock euro 850R manual map onto it so that the tuning is easier.
