Maf Sensor Torx Screw Size

I just replaced my friend's MAF sensor on her 1998 V70. The existing sensor has a T-20 security bit (I have an entire set of these bits), no problem. The new Bosch sensor I got today has two Torx security screws that are not a T-15, nor a T-20, nor a T-25 or 27... They are the two screws that actually hold the sensor into its tubular holder at the air box. Has anyone else experienced this? What size is it if it's not a T-20 or 25 security bit???

funny the same thing happened to me when i redid my MAF this spring. ran all over trying to find a damn T-20 security torx bit, got the MAF out no problem and when i went to put the new one in i thought i had lost my damn mind

I kinda forget what i did but perhaps you can refresh me... as i recall the T-20 was too small right?? (maybe it was too big i don't remember). Was it too small or too big? what about the T-25 and 27? also too small?

I did wind up working it out so if you help jog my memory than you can do away with the janky mini vice grip or dremel approach (no offense joe, if it works it works you know ;) )

The newer/replacement MAFs have those two newer Torx screws. It's not a T-20 (that's the older style size) it's not a T-25 or T-27. It seems to be in between a 20 & 25, which doesn't exist. The T-20 is too small and the T-25 is too big. I don't get it. Is this a proprietary tool now from Volvo?
