i said it before...and i'll say it again....volvo has a lot of catching up to do (to audi, bmw etc) if its going to stay in the game.

"R design".... nice...so they add a few cosmetics in, but the performance is what is lacking.........

btw...the C30 is probably the only good looking 'new' model....the rest are just hidious (have you seen the new V70s!!!???)

I guess you guys don't realize that the only things that differentiate 850 Turbos from T5-R's were cosmetics...same thing can be said for 98 V70 T5's and 98 V70R's other than AWD.

Lets see how many Volvo owners actually care about performance...I'll be nice and say 10%. Do you really think it would be smart for a company to make a product that only 10% of its buyers are going to be interested in?

Nice C30.

Yeah. But it's the prestige and possibility that they do it for.

I mean, how many Corvettes or Vipers are actually bought? They only make/sell those cars so there's this brand recognition and a dream of actually owning a car like that when you buy that Chevy Crapalier or Dodge Caliber...

Although, I guess when you have, say, an S80, and you have to choose between the T6 and the V8, it's not quite the same as it's the same body just with a different engine (and other trim/cosmetics/etc.).

I dunno. Let's just hope that they (i.e. Ford) has some good plans for the Volvo line.
