cmurphy2266
I hate the pirellis that are on my pegs right now. They are 235/40/18 as many of you know. I want to get new tires, what would be the best choice to get for summer performance tires that have excellent traction from a launch and great in the corners. I am thinking of Khumos, Yokohama, and Michelin. I want to spend really no more than about $200-$250 per tire. The lower would be better! Thanks guys-Cory
flyfishing3
gotta get those tires that make colored smoke.
JagsT5R
I have run Michilen Pilots, Bridgestone SO3 Pole Positions and Goodyear GS-D3's over the years. All great tires. Not much difference for me as far as the Michilens and the Bridgestones beside wet grip was better for the SO3's. I have to say I was not sure about Goodyears, but they are actually a very good tire. Much longer tread life than the Pilots and the SO3's but not as responsive imho. I will never again own a set of Pirelli tires after my experience with the factory tires on my T5R. What a nightmare. DelawareT5M
Besides the Pilots, and Bridgestone Pole Position's I would highly suggest BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW 2's at $125 a tire. A lot of people on the forum have this tire and love it

matt b
I have yet to find a tire that's better than the Goodyear Eagle F1. I look for a quiet tire with excellent traction that will last longer than 20,000 miles.

Same cars, same wheels, same sizes, only the tires are different.

JagsT5R
I hear a lot of people complaining about the weak sidewalls with Toyo's. Never had a pair but my parents had an Infiniti that came factory and the sidewall bubbled out. I have also heard the same problem from folks in the NOPI crowd. lookforjoe
Sumotomos HTR+$500 for all four installed got them on the R and the C70 and I am loving themI have the HTRZ's 235/40x18; they don't corner that well, though - compared to the Kumho ASX's they squeal & scrub a fair bit. The price is good though - I paid 95 a piece from TR.
(n)A-GAME
General Exclaim UHPs have been fantastic for me. all 4 for $400, and 36K treadwear life? Can't beat it.
