I have a 10 mile drive home, all stop n go. just to check the t-stat. but the upper and lower hoes are hot.i think it's the fan going dead. vegasjetskier
all of our cars have them from 93 on. above the radiator, big fan relay. Can you put a voltmeter on the relay output to see if power is going to the fan?
Ghost Shadow
Can you put a voltmeter on the relay output to see if power is going to the fan?well got home tonight and tested the following. input 12v is good, low speed and hi speed is good. two outputs are good, freaking fan was getting power. only thing left is the effin ground was bad. corroded plug. tested the black plug that sits closest to the fan and it was getting 12v on one side (power flowing thru the fan to thru the plug) and the other side nothing. tested my 01 vert and this wire had a constant ground. i was like effin mofo, the ground is no good. cut the plug off and soldered a new one in front my parts bin and viola, instant fan spinning! arrg, thank god i didn't blow another head gasket from the overheating!problem solved, case closed!
