Why not methane - you can you a tube right out your ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD...

Sorry, I couldn't help myself; not meant to offend anyone.

EDIT: meant to say you can run a tube.... sorry about that

My wife might argue with this but I don't think I could come up with enough pressure.

How about just compressed air (oxygen, nitrogen, co2... yada yada) to supplement boost?

Not like I'm tryin to do any of this crap... just a crazy thought and wondered if anyone (ever) has done it.

Inject compressed air into an engine for more power? Yeah its called forced induction

Last year I messed around with injecting air under pressure into the exhaust scroll of the turbo to eliminate spool time.

I drilled a hole in the scroll about 1/3 the way around on tangent and tapped a fitting, then the fitting ran via tubing to a solenoid valve and then to regulator at 20psi and finally a tank with approx 70psi in it.

Worked great but it side loaded the journal bearings quite a bit and wore them out quickly. I had intended to try it again on a ball bearing turbo but haven't gotten to it yet.

Also somewhat risky as high boost at low rpm = bent rods. But it was sure fun hitting 10 psi at 1800 rpm!

Try opposed injection sites. But again why. If you want to reduce lag run ALS and be done with it with no hassle of compressors and tanks.
