kildea
Series turbos FTMFWmy k27 spools up and my tune sucks right now, if you do all of the supporting mods and have a turbo that will produce an efficient air charge, with a decent intercooler you will enjoy your car. there may be some lag in the lower gears, but tuning can help a lot, and if the air remains cool in the top end your "20 psi" will yield more power, the intercooler helps, but a better compressor with a better intercooler helps more, with a good free-flowing exhaust and a cool air charge the boost will be better when it hits, and keeping the rpms above 2600 or so when shifting is easy enough if you have a manual.i think you just need to do the initial work that all whiteblocks benefit from: bigger exhaust, decent header, bigger turbine (do what you want with the compressor to keep it efficient, less backpressure helps a lot too i have an 80mm turbine and it spools), ebay intercooler, tune. if these are done then cams, head work, etc. the rods are a weak link, but i think some people bend them because of a shitty tune and a hot air charge.
