cn90
Using non-dealer part is fine as long as you do research.1. Timing Belt in European cars (VW, Volvo, Porsche etc.) is made by "Contitech":http://www.contitech.de/So if the online place sells Contitech, then it is fine.2. Spark Plugs: Bosch or NGK is fine.3. Water Pump: Volvo or Hepu brandFor BMW that I own (98 528i), Fan Clutch is good with either Behr or Sachs, Radiator either Nissens or Behr.etc etc.The problem with no-name part is the QC (Quality Control). You should contact eeuroparts and let them know, email them this thread so they know and stop carrying that brand. Not good for their reputation and business.
turbomoose
I'm sticking with GENUINE Volvo parts sourced from my Volvo dealer or eEuro from now on. It's just so frustrating wasting time trying to save $10. by searching for "deals" online. Then a few months later, you're faced with an unexpected breakdown. The "savings" is NOT worth it to me. I know all about Contitech, INA, Sachs/Boge, AISIN not hepu waterpumps, AISIN timing belt tensioners etc etc. I just feel MUCH more comfortable knowing I've got VOLVO parts where Volvo parts belong. And if I ever run into an issue, my dealer is 15 minutes away, always has the parts in stock or can next day them for me for free. Oh and those Nissens radiators are CRAP. OEM Volvo was Valeo, and it's so much better. That's my next failure on my cooling system, I'd bet $210 on it. jamie cheaper then euor parts and 100% oem Thanks for the info in your sig Justine! I'll be calling them when I need a big part, like my R bumper. :D
