bmx9854
8" 425lb springs? You better get your fillings reinforced. I have 8" 350lb springs. I couldnt imagine any stiffer. I may buy 300 lb springs.Gary What do you mean by fillings reinforced? The reason I went with #425 probably wasn't for the best decision, they were half the price of all the rest of the springs. I was going to go with #550. Maybe you can show me a pic of the fillings.

Yellow95
Im using 10" 475 springs on my Koni coilovers. The ride is stiff but still quite comfy. The longer spring helps the ride a bit.Ben I imagine the 10" 475lb is probably a little more forgiving then the 8"/ If I was that guy, I would change my order to either a 10" 475lb spring or a lighter weight 8".Gary
Mattphi
I love the ride of mine. I have 350s Sometimes it can be a bit rough, but I would rather feel the road than feel like I am in a Cadillac.
Mattphi
Is there any reason why you cant use an aftermarket strut instead of a Koni Yellow? (Yes, I know the yellows are adjustable).Making the upper spring seat out of 1/4 aluminum

550
Ok...First of all, that spring rate with the koni's you are asking for trouble if you race. As far as I can tell you are overwhelming the valving on the koni's with that stiff and low of a spring. There is some geometry involved here. What you need to do is talk to toweryMT on tbricks. Or even search tbricks for information. It has been covered extensively.Also... any sleeve will work, you just have to take some material off the strut body. As long as you don't jeopardize the integrity of the strut you should be fine. You don't wan't too stiff... you will have more issues with suspension than you know how to fix/deal with. Just my 2 cents... check tbricks for infor about spring rates and the valving on different struts.
