mustang
On a 2001 S80 2.9 (non-turbo) with 105,000 miles... Just recently (within the last month) on occassion, my warning lights "ABS" and "STC" come on. It generally only happens when driving for a while. And within the last week or so, sometimes the "Brake failure stop safetly ASAP" message comes on as well.Nothing seems to be faulty as the brakes and other items still seem to work.Any thoughts before I give $$$ to Volvo? Thanks in advance. rwb
Probably the ABS control module, or something more expensive.
CHARGER69O1
ABS contol module. ABS is not functioning when the lamps are on. Brake work like they should but you will be without ABS.
MrWinkey
The module is more than likely the fault. Get a flashlight and a mirror read the module number upside down and backwards then contact Victor Rocha here. ;)
mustang
Thanks to all.I've been in contact with Victor and will most likely be sending him some business..PS Volvo dealer wants $115 to just look at it and another $800-$1200 for an ABS module. I can't see the bill stopping there.
