Shouldn't be more than $150 to have it done and it'll last. Might as well do it right since you already have the head off the engine.

150 bucks just to have them media blast it?

What are my other choices for cleaning everything off of the aluminum before painting?

No way it's going to cost 150.00 for media blasting, 15-20 tops. Anymore and you got rapped...

Powdercoat should be around 100.

Wire wheel attachments...

then Rustoleum, either hammered or plain hi temp - cheap, looks good.

I'm a little dissapointed that some small stuff landed in between coats since I had it outside to dry. Maybe I'll sand it lightly and add another coat tommorow.

Definitely light sand & respray - it'll suck with that stuff in the finish. Black is tough - the surface & air have to be spotless/dust free.

Ok... thought so.

I'm gonna call around to find out... what kind of shop should I look at?... ask the machine shop?

Hussein, Looks great. saw your thread on it a while back and got inspired.

I'm going to use VHT wrinkle paint in black on the valve cover. I might have to get some of that Rustoleum hammered for the coolant pipes.
