Media Blasted The Valve Cover For Painting

Ok... thought so.

I'm gonna call around to find out... what kind of shop should I look at?... ask the machine shop?

Hussein, Looks great. saw your thread on it a while back and got inspired.

I'm going to use VHT wrinkle paint in black on the valve cover. I might have to get some of that Rustoleum hammered for the coolant pipes.

Not sure, I always used a paint shop through work, but it wasn't an auto shop.

I'm a little dissapointed that some small stuff landed in between coats since I had it outside to dry. Maybe I'll sand it lightly and add another coat tommorow.

I used a metallic graphite with some metal flake in it and it hides the imperfections very well!

Black powder coat should be around $50.

Just ask the shop to piggyback on some other job,

unless you gotta have it now.

If they're any good, they should be doing black at least every other day.

Even Chromex ceramic coating should be under $100
