MyCarIsRed
Been thinking of doing something like this with the upper tails on my wagon, say 8-12 red LEDs mounted in the uppermost section. Anyone seen this before?

Anyone seen this before? No, I haven't. Try it...Next, I'm thinking about what I can do for a third break light. Maybe a thin strip along the top. I'm working on uploading a vid of the turns blinking. (no internet at home)Stay tuned...it's funny

(no internet at home)Stay tuned...it's funny :lol:I plan to, was hoping for a spare set to test on but I'll prolly just cut into mine. for the 3rd brake light just snatch the led fixture, surrounding trim, and bulb warning module from a v70. Dont forget the wiper motor "cap" to cover your old brakelight (like it did... having a hell of a time finding one now) It's about a 10 minute install. Only thing non-stock looking about it is the lack of black around the led fixture- this you can fix with some black adhesive vinyl.
European Sportwagon
This is a bad video I whipped up from some stills. It shows difference in color really well.It would look way better if the LEDS were synced better with the turns. So, in conclusion,I give myself an A for production, but a C for the final. Now I just have to wait for the longer white LEDs to arrive. Thanks for all your feedback! European Sportwagon
what size strip did you get? and what size would you recommend for the entire bottom of the headlight?I used the 4.7" for the insides. As I recall, the measurement of the headlight was 11-12" ishThey offer a 9.5" then a 19". They say it is cuttable.Maybe get the 9.5" and the 1.2" and wire them together...
