Removing Switches

Recommended Posts

Just wanted to toss this up right quick before I run out to the car...

... Does the hazard switch just pop out with a little finagling and a flathead, or is there some other means to removing it? Just want to be sure there aren't any potential tabs to break or anything along those lines before I go prying away

Thanks guys :)

Try two very small flatheads on the top and bottom of the switch pulling sort of like you're using tongs.

Yeah, I think I'm just going to have to go do that. I keep having this paranoid vision of there being some stupid little tab back there that snaps-off and keeps ANY switch from ever seating firmly ever again

Haha. I'm pretty sure the switches just have little metal springy deals on each side, you should be alright on the top and bottom. I've gotten a few of my switches out and in safely using the 2 flatheads.

Yeah, I just popped it out-- Small flathead FTW.

I found a < '94 hazard switch at the pick 'n' pull this weekend, and picked it up. Wanted to swap it in, see how the all-red light up looked compared to the one that came in my car. I'm a fan :)
