so you would rather destroy the integrity of the springs???? I've seen cut and torched springs snap as the car is being driven. so I'm not a fan of that. my set up rides just fine, I've used the clamps for over 10 years on all different cars, and the best part is, if I want to go back to OEM i remove the clamps and thats it. the car is back to normal. No pulling the struts out or anything like that. It works almost the same way as lowering blocks on a pickup. But whatever, everyone has there own way of doing things.

Me too - But I've also seen a set of clamps randomly come off a spring and punch a hole in a garage wall - They aren't designed to be driven on

Crappy pic but here's before and after chopped rear springs - 1000 miles so far and no issues - Sits a little lower now then in the pic now that it's settled a bit

Sorry the paint on the wheels looks crappy - They were rattle canned black when i bought them and some mud has stripped off alot of it

Thanks guys.

More pictures coming soon. And just to point out, even though I very rarely post pictures of my car there was no "heavy editing" done to my pictures. Not even one bit of it. I took these pictures with my HTC 8 megapixel camera phone..yes..CAMERA PHONE with the ISO at 200 and shot at "black and white" that's it! With the right natural lighting and right angles you can achieve any looks.

As for my wheels, they were imported from a friend in Japan and I had a local wheel importer deliver them for me (cheaper that way). And damn, they are not cheap haha. Remember that the ones that were made in Japan are way lighter and came with titanium rivets compare to the heavy as hell German made with steel nuts and bolts. I had my wheel guy refinished the lips, etc. and had him put this (i forget the name) thick, super high temp clear coat that makes road debris and rocks explode before hitting my wheels. =)

Don't get too cocky, they're not that great of photos. ;)

I've told him a couple times that I'm sketched about this setup, but after seeing it...it's honestly not THAT bad. They aren't the normal open-ended spring clamps like you would find at Autozone, they are more or a D shaped clamp, that bolts closed. After seeing the setup, I feel a little better. It's definitely not a terrible option for temporary low, and it rides nice.

What's stopping you from getting them? Find the right off set and just get them re-drilled. Because if you're hoping for a 5x108 set...that's very unlikely. VOLK only made two sets of TE37's last year with the 5x108 bolt pattern and with CE28's maybe 4 or 5 but the homies in Japan are first in line with those haha.

When you decide on purchasing and re-drilling those wheels make sure you get the Nissan 5 lug pattern and not from a BMW. VOLK sells their "Euro" patterned wheels $900-$1200 more even if it's the same wheels.

Very good info to know dude....thanks for the heads up. Those CE28's look absolutely amazing with the Volvo center cap. Any pics of the rest of the car?
