JehovArob
Wow. That is an impressive list. I got maybe halfway through his "accomplishments", and stopped reading. There were just too many.
ontheheel
There are a HELL of alot of senators who have been around twice as long as Kerry in both parties who have not been considored to run for president. And as noted above, George Bush Jr has no legs to stand on. He didnt do squat as governor of Texas←where are you from?
Guest Guest
ok now, i think kerry is a terrible candidate for candidacy and I am a republican. however, it doesn't matter how good or bad a president bush has been if he stays in office the states will be seen as a joke
ontheheel
i realize it's just my first semester of macro, but the further and further i get into it, the more Bush's economic policies make sense. and the stuff about the president not having any effect on the economy...it's actually pretty big. to combat joblesness, the best things you can do to bolster the economy and bring unemployment back to full (which is really 5%), is cutting taxes and bolstering govt spending. ---this is according to Keynesi would say he's done a pretty good job in that regard. he took a recession and rampant joblesness and brought it down to under 5.4% (remember that full employment is actually 5% unemployment)like i said, it's only my first semester in macro, so take what i say with a grain of salt. i am just comparing observations from the real world with where i am in this class. Che'_Moderator
Humm. Again:Its not what you know, its who you know. Frankly I like it that way. In most jobs with lots of power associated, it takes connections to get stuff done. Kerry seems ok as a person, but he lacks stones. Granted W is a cowboy, but at least he has stones. What ever happened to Clark. I liked him

Brickster151
This is the dumbest thread I have ever seen.Ontheheel- I am from California but I live in Arizona, and goto school with a few kids from Texas who say Bush really did not do anything that positive as governor. One kid said he was a good governor, but than again that kid also says he's a HS dropout.
