bdimag
if your amp supports it: some of them have speaker level inputs... so you could slice right into your rear speakers through the trunk... then you'd only have to worry about running a power cord...either that or yes, you could get a line-level adapter and then splice that in, also from the rear speakers through the trunk... volvoskiah
Look at the back of your HU. Most Volvo decks have an amp connectionIf it has a 6 pin DIN jack marked "AMP", you can use a DIN to RCA adapter cable and go right into the amp, (including a remote on lead). Uber clean hook-up. So if i were to go this way, I do have the spot marked amp, I would just have to run a cord all the way to the trunk then go straight to the amp? What is a din to rca adapter? HayaCruza
What is a din to rca adapter?Lets see if this helps. DIN is a multi-pin connector typically round that makes for easy connection of multiple wires (S-Video cable is similar).RCA is a far more common connection used in audio and video systems.Try this picture, this is just an example of a DIN to RCA adapter cable.... volvoskiah
That makes sense. so if i just got that and ran wires to the trunk, it would hook up to the amp and the subs should work no problem? I only want to keep the stock head unit because it looks clean and goes with the styling of the car.
