Mossback
I had a 51/2 hour drive last week and the OBX drone gave me a headache. So I replaced the muffler and tip with something that would not reduce the performance. I've been getting some PM's on the replacement characteristics since I put the OBX stuff up for sale. Magnaflow satin stainless oval and a decent quality double wall tip. (no resonator)I did a sound bite too, a little quieter than it really sounds but much smoother.Muffler sound
rynodyno312
Magnaflow oval's are great mufflers. I'm actually thinking about removing the resonator on my setup and using just the Magnaflow.
PharmD
Sounds very nice. If I ever went with an OBX setup, I'd definitely be looking for something like this...
mojoman
Sound nice... I don't get the point of having a exhaust, which is already fu**ing loud at 2500rpm, thats why i like my simons that much. It's getting lout at about 4000rpm and when just cruisin on the highway its not any louder than the normal R-Exhaust.
ean carr
That does sound good. I normally don't notice drone to much with the windows closed (obx set up). Even on the highway, I normally just turn my music up a bit and call it a day. I could see how it would get annoying to some.. if not most. adamjjohn203
Sucks when the wife is in the car and we want to talk...I have Supersprint w/3" DP and highways fine...going up hill...way too loud. When I'm by myself the stereo makes it go away.
TBM
It would've been awesome if you recorded a video in the same location/same camera of the OBX muffler...that way we could compare the two using a consistent method. You wouldn't happen to have a vid of the OBX, would you?
prasamin
I've got two of those Magnaflow's under my car....they are great mufflers.
FINN
Full 3" turboback with only one oval magnaflow muffler at the rear. Even the 2.8k RPM drone is extremely bearable. GF doesnt complain and we can hold conversation just fine.
