MeanGreenSwedeMachine
I developed a coolant leak recently (just noticed it today when my light came on). I immediately topped it off, and its deffinitely leaking somewhere, but even when the coolant is above the min line, the light stays on. Any reason for this? Oreo931
dont get a FCP one ask adam or nathan about that junk Nothing happened to mine yet FYI.Also, it is probably your Coolant level sensor, you might not need a whole new reservoir. Before you order a new coolant level sensor, make sure the float in your current reservoir isnt broken. If it is, you need a new reservoir. AlvinL
+1 on the float. You can see the float. If it's below the water line, give the bottle a tap. Maybe it's stuck to the bottom?
MeanGreenSwedeMachine
Thanks guys.So theoretically, as long as I know that there's coolant in there, this could wait until say Thanksgiving when I go home? Or does the thermostat or something behave differently if it thinks there's no coolant?

You are good, just follow everyone's directions!
MavericK41
like the guys above stated, check the float. My coolant light had been on for a while with the coolant level being at max and the car never overheating so i figured that might be my problem. Went ahead and checked it out tonight and poked around in the coolant reservoir tank to try and move the float and the light went away. seems to have fixed the problem.
