Bazarvospeed Posted October 30, 2008 Report Share Posted October 30, 2008 ok lets start from the beginning... 2 days ago I was drivin home and the dash lights go out....but then I pulled into wawa and came back out. Started the car and the lights were working again ...( weird ) so they been fine untill then. tonight I'm drivin and they go out again and the lights went out! so I checked fuse #35 and it was good. The lights im getting are the radio display & master window switch. everything else is out. But switches , speedo , rpms all work. im thinking a relay ? where is this lighting relay for the dash located? or does anyone have any other ideas what the problem could be? Bazarvospeed Posted November 3, 2008 Author Report Share Posted November 3, 2008 Swapped the dimmer switch( Thanks Alvin ) , now im getting all but the gas guage light & trip computer lighting . is this dimmer switch fualty as well?( im thinking that all lighting is wired to the switch , so therefor a terminal is bad? ) or is there a bulb out ( from me bangin the dash ). I dont think there's anything between the 4 cluster bulbs except copper trace, so it's all or nothing. try banging a bit more, see if they flash on. Perhaps it's time for some LEDs? You can buy the bulbs at the dealer or look over some recent posts about buying bulbs elsewhere and doing some work to get them to fit. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I did bang on it once more and it didnt seem to flicker the lights in a way. What about the LED's? how hard are these to replace or modifiy the bulb holders? I would love to throw some LED's if its not a huge project. I do have plenty of used but good cluster bulbs laying around from my collection , also if anyone else would like a few PM ME.
