BlackBeast
A Garrett GT2871r .63 or .82 housing or a 3071r .63ar housing will be used, havent made my mind up yet. I have china forged rods ready and waiting, but what are my options for forged pistons? Should I go for a higher compression ratio, 9:1 over the stock 8:5.1?I already have an uprated intercooler and will most likely have some sort of aquamist system. The car always runs on 98/99ron Shell Vpower.

They are forged, about 100 grams lighter than stock, been running 8,000 miles now everything is A OK.
BlackT5
Go with the 3071, it will give you a bit of headroom.Pistons, i'm using Ross also, but there are many companies. JE, Wiseco, Venolia (SP?), CP, etc..
prasamin
if you want some more torque sooner, then you can raise the CR slightly, but most don't go that route.....if you want more boost, and some more power up high, then lower the CR.I was planning on going to 8.0:1, but figured that I can keep it 8.5:1 and it may drop slightly after the head work, etc.....I didn't really want to have more torque and low end power, instead the ability to run a bit more boost up high.....I have Wiseco pistons with China rods....only about 1000 miles on them, but running without a hitch.
