turbormonkey
Hi guys my mechanic worked on my car fixing the dash noise and he does not know where this grounding strap goes on my 98 s70 Here is a pic below, also he thinks he remembers it having a different bolt than the rest. he looked on vadis and could not find this wire mentioned. Anybody who can help I would much appreciate If you can take a pic of yours and the bolt that goes through it, i would really appreciate. here is a pic of the bolt he found in picture 2, is this correct and is their suppose to be another nut on this bolt or is this all, also where does it attach. crazykn
That grounding strap might be for the airbag. Plus from where you take that photo there isn't normally any equipment ground (those are found near the driver side). I know many years ago there was a recall to get a grounding strap installed onto the airbag case, because there was a possibility of static building up (with no where to ground) and discharging the airbag. If someone could check real quick i would appreciate it takes two seconds to take out the glovebox liner on the 70's
