Replacing Oil Cooler Hoses

the cheapest I could find were at (but of course!) FCP.

anyone bought this product from them and might be able to offer some qualified input on the aftermath?

should I trust them, or dig more in my pockets forthe oem stuff from the dealer??

incidentally: anyone ever tried to modify the oil thermostat and maybe use a stand_alone oil cooler, using braided lines custom-made hoses?

this is what i have in mind

i searched for "oil cooler relocation" on VS, and i went through about 15pages of results, but couldn't not find nothing specific on the subject)

i get two questions, don't I? :P

one of my current oil lines is from fcpgroton. it has been as good as the volvo one next to it :) just coat the o-rings with oil so they don't dry out as you would for the oil filter o-ring gasket.

i can't think of a good place to mount that oil cooler though, the radiator oil cooler is fan cooled so if it were me I wouldn't bother.

I bought two from FCP a few weeks ago. One is fine, the other burst after less than 4 hours. Perhaps it was defective ..I dunno. (cost me a very expensive tow too). Their site says they are Volvo parts on this item.

They are processing my refund now.
