Volvo Virgin Posted November 19, 2008 Report Share Posted November 19, 2008 So my car doesn't have one and to that point I've never noticed much movement from my battery so I never examined it all that closely. I replaced my battery today and took notice that the side of the tray is open and it could def move a couple inches from side to side if I drove aggresive enough. I've looked at enough other members cars to know the norm isn't an over the top style hold-down, but is there is supposed to be a block style hold-down at the bottom of the battery on the open side of the tray?
