vyken
my 2001 c-70sometimes takes between 10 to 20 seconds to start it doesnt matter hot or cold. tried full tune up I took it to a good volvo shop they found slow fuel pressure leak .they changed all the related items fuel pump, in tank check valve, and the fuel rail regulator all volvo parts. no more leakdown but still sometimes hard to start .It shows no cel codes no other drivabilty issues the only other thing is every once in a while when you crank it the tac jumps to 4000 rpm for just a second and then it takes longer to start the next time you crank it.the shop has really tried to help and even offered to change the crank sensor at no cost if it doesnt work. Dan A
You would think crank sensor would throw a code, but if they are willing to do it free if it doesn't work, you don't have much to lose I guess except time in the shop. I would think more along the lines of cam sensor myself but typically that would throw a code as well.
