And one thing for Denroll R over others, you know he being on these boards, has probably taken good care of that car and it shouldn't any issues. Where one at the dealer that has been sitting a while you have no idea what potential is repairs it will need. Thats, why I got my car from V70R.com. And he's asking a very reasonable price for it when compared to a dealer. And it won't need all of the repairs a dealer car would need... I'm still just real worried about the ETM issues... I'll worry about it when it happens, but until then happy driving... I'm more worried about my 5 speed auto (which is a only an issue for the '00R not the 4 speeds) then the ETM... I can't find any appealing '98s, though...I've been trying to find out about these ETMs and haven't found much info... About all I know is, if you take it in, they'll just try and update the "warez", but if it has logged any codes, they'll replace the whole module(?) EVL WAGN Posted November 24, 2008 Report Share Posted November 24, 2008 Go with a 2000 V70R and be done with it. As for the AWD issues....bah! Take care of the car and you'll have none. I've got 2 - 2000 V70R's myself...the black car in my sig is heavily modded and I've got no AWD issues at all...my other car is a Laser R and is running FWD(how I bought it) and it blows ass!!! The original owner was an asswad and let the bevel gear go. I would never in a million years buy one of these cars as a front wheel drive and expect anything out of it...my black car is 10 billion times more fun then any other car I've ever owned.
