bmx9854
Has anyone tried to buy just the bracket and hardware from ipd for there msd blaster ss coil for 850s? I got the coil new for like $40 and already have the ipd plug wires so all I need is the bracket. Or if anyone else has suggestions on homemade brackets that'd be great too. WhiteT5
You can use the old coil bracket with a bit of modification. Take it off... you'll see. However, I wouldn't do this if I were you. When your MSD coil breaks in less than a year, you'll want to put the stock one back on.
nolanator
lol that's why i kept my factory coil as well. MSDs aren't very famous for their long lasting durability

Mesoam
mine died after a year or so as well, leave the stock on in the trunk, if you make your own bracket you MUST leave the module piece attached to the metal plate
lookforjoe
I kept the old one, it only has 100K on it, and worked flawlessly. I never throw away good parts.I had ordered this before I fixed the 22psi miss with Volvo plugs.. so I had to put it on...

Pops Racer
I just flattened the stock bracket with a hammer. Mine has been performing fine for 3 yrs. Yes it can use stock wire but it might be too short.
