Separate Audio From Kenwood Changer Din Plug?

Hello all,

Recently purchased a USA-Spec AUX input adaptor for the 816 and was hoping someone here has done what I'm about to attempt. I have an FM modulated Kenwood changer that I'd like to run the audio through this new adaptor. Obviously I'd still need to run the rest of the wires through the Kenwwod controller. I found a pinout, but the plug is a strange 13 pin DIN, not the common 8 pin or so. Anyone done this without hacking the crap out of the original DIN cable? Results?

Don't take this the wrong way, but why?

Instead of trying to jam a square peg in a round hole, just go plugNplay.

Sell the Kenwood and buy an Ipod.

Thanks for the reply. No offense taken . The changer was a gift years ago, so I'd like to go that route. I know it's unpopular, but it's what I have. I agree though, it would be much easier the other way.
