hey john,

i oredered mine on Dec 5th. they are supposed to arrive according to frt co. on mon.

the web site said they had a back order going so a little delay wasn't surprising.

it said they were using up their old stock of thick ballast and all new orders would have the slim ballasts on the apex.

i wish you would of announced your sale earlier.

So does this mean will be getting the slim ones? or the think ones?

Please explain how you paid $30 less than $80 when their price is $59.95 plus shipping?

I must say I am disappointed that this community has become so price driven though I do appreciate the people that continue to support a local vendor - most of you whom I have met at various meets nationwide and will likely do so again this coming year.

I totally agree, I rather spend $30 more with a fellow VSer and great customer service

i bought from sharp :D

good!

I bought them off DDM Tuning on ebay with Microsoft Live 20% Cashback. Came out to @ $55 shipped.

Your comment may be valid if you are talking about a $10 - $15 difference in price for the same product, warranty, and service - or paying an even higher difference if any of those 3 factors were different. At the time I bought my kit you weren't advertising your sale, so it was a $45 dollar difference in price. As a consumer, it makes no financial sense to pay $45 dollars more for the same product with the exact same warranty, only because you are a member on VS. Tell me what kind of tangible benefit I would be getting by paying almost double the price? Sorry, but I got a deal that was too good to pass up. :)

Aren't SharpHids the ultra slim ballasts and DDM tuning's are not? Also, it seemed DDM tuning was taking forever to ship.

DDM tuning has regular sized and slim ballasts.

i heard about DDM's sale before John's, so i bought it from them. As much as i would like to support the volvo community, i would of gone with DDM's because of the lower price. In the end i saved 55$US. but you can also say i got lucky cause i got the slim ballast for the price of the regular.

Well since we're all paying ~$54...

Either way, this has nothing to do with the 'community,' they simply blew your price away even with your sale and in my short experience their customer service was perfectly fine and amiable...

It's not like people are turning away CJ for SSautochrome, I mean you're just distributing someone else's product...so when quality isn't a concern obviously price is going to be the driving factor.
