Ghost Shadow
Mr.Winkey => Thanks for the infoWaltrip = http://www.darrellwaltripvolvo.com/ I guess...? I sent them an email. expecting the same price as "All my swedish parts.com"IPD and Quickparts are "out of stocK" for the right side axle (DSS 7818N). Awaiting feedback from them.I may have to go to europartsdirect.com or BMA auto parts with the OParts axles. Joey P. seems to have a good experience with these. In the meantime, car is vibrating like no tomorrow.... fun, fun, fun.....do a junk yard search and buy one from there. have the boot rebuilt. in 99+ cars the axles are different. they have a cage inside holding large ball bearings. if anyone has broken one of these things you will know what i am talking about. rebuilters do not have a source for these internals, well at least back in 9/2007 when i effd mine up there wasn't. i'd suggest this first before buying anything. get it on a lift and run the car with all four off the ground and get under there and check what is vibrating.disclaimer: not all mechanics are willing to do this and not all mechanics are have skills to do this either. it is Highly dangerous, have to be really careful. i take no responsibility if you are a dumb ass and really make a mess of things. at low speeds you can tell right away what is the problem. Also did you SPECIFICALLY ask the people who balanced the tires to see if the wheel(s) are bent? Did you have isolate the problem to the front or guessing it is from the front?

I have actually tried this many years ago but it really does not work. When the suspension is loaded(on the ground) the inner tripods are further inside the inner driver cup than what they would be raised on a lift, so actually I consider this as a poor way to eliminate the problem as the axles are not loaded and riding where they would be on the ground and under load....We all know that there are huge issues with the China made axles in the P2 cars. He probably needs axles. ;)
