Ghost Shadow
Changed my "front motor mount", the one on the passenger side wheel well. had a horrible engine vibration issue, car banged into foward and then same thing into reverse. felt like the engine was rocking back and forth. then there was a clunk when the car shifted gears from 3rd to 4th on the e-way.I bought one for $32 shipped from flea bay. it is 1995 1996 1997 VOLVO 8501998 1999 VOLVO S701998 1999 VOLVO V70Part #8631698vs1999-2000 Volvo XC70 AWD Turbo Front Right Lower Engine MountManufacturer Genuine Volvo Part Number 9480190 OEM Number 9480190 Condition New MSRP $80.94 Price Each $77.50 this cheapo part was identical to my XC unit, look at this thread to see how bad the old part was.http://volvospeed.com/vs_forum/index.php?s...p;#entry1456119you can use a cheaper part vs the more expensive "X/C" part. it is almost 1/3 of the price. Chilled man
ohh yes master sir, you correct there is a spacer on it.the force is strong in this one i see.the neat thing is you can get the cheap one and then knock off the spacer on your old one and put it under . its one of the few things that I noticed when I swaped over the tranny . I guess due to the XC stitting higher you need that spacer to manage the correct angle in the tranny from the axle
Ghost Shadow
actually the new mount was just as tall as the old one with out the spacer. i didn't swap the spacer over, and i still had to jack the engine higher to get the mount in. Ghost Shadow
didn't change the mount because i didn't know what a bad mount looks like or feels like. just got home from work and put about 12 miles on the new mount. few impressions, car drives much smoother now AND to my surprise the car does not pull to the passenger side anymore!!! i can't believe a bad motor mount could do that. thinking back, why wouldn't it since the engine is tilted to one side. there should be more pull on that side.
