'98BRICK Posted December 11, 2008 Report Share Posted December 11, 2008 As most of you who frequent the forum remember, there was a GB for 10 prototype 25mm rear bars for FWD 850/X70 cars. After talking with Robert (Lucky) at iPd, he has agreed to fabricate a similar 25mm bar for AWD cars. As described by the man in charge:As for characteristics it will induce a more neutral feeling when moderately driving the car. During aggressive driving, snap oversteer will be increased a bit and off throttle weight lift will be accentuated although not by a huge margin. Overall it should balance the car with a bit more rear bias as opposed to the current design which is a bit more front biased.There are actually two options here:X70 AWD 25mm rear bar only - $219X70 AWD 25mm front/rear bars - $448Yes, $448 is the same price that you'll pay for the regular understeer-inducing 22mm rear bar. Ipd Posted December 11, 2008 Report Share Posted December 11, 2008 These bars are made from Chromoly 4140 steel and will be solid as all Ipd bars are.Warranty is 1 year on this since these are custom spec.The intended car is 850/70 models AWD ONLY through 2000.This does not fit P1 chassis AWD models like S40/V50/etc..
