larryo108
Poison The Well ! OWNS! That's a great CD!←I used to have a Poison the Well CD. Little too much high-pitched screaming for me. Hard to understand. The music was awesome, just couldn't deal with the high-pitched screams. Kind of like Fall Silent and Converge. Of course Fall Silent does an awesome Sesame Street cover.I love this thread. Here are some other favorites. Youth of Today, Floorpunch, Rise Against, By a Thread, Taking Back Sunday, Thursday, Student Rick, Vision of Disorder, Shelter, Ignite.

larryo108
Sorry. Not a fan of GWAR. That was a joke right? I remember the local "alternative" radio station pulled a prank on some GWAR fans a couple of years ago. They had one of their morning DJ's go on stage and introduce the band. The DJ is a short Jewish guy. He goes on stage in a prep getup with the vest tied around his shoulders and the whole nine yards. He says he is from 99X and immediately the crowd starts booing. Then he says he wants to talk to the crowds and goes into a comedic don't do drugs and stay in school spiel. Then he finally introduces the band, but calls them, Gee War. Absolutely hilarious.More good bands: Hatebreed, Blood for Blood, Radiohead, Social Distortion, Mike Ness, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes. I could go for days on this. Thanks for all of the suggestions too. New bands to check out.

larryo108
I have heard 2 songs from Muse. They are actually pretty good about playing new music on the radio here. I still need to e-mail you back Greg. I never got a chance too. E-mail me again and let me know what you needed.98S70R. Hatebreed is awesome. My all time favorite Metalcore. Perseverance is the best, but Satisfaction is the Death of Desire is rocking too. You can skip Under the Knife though. Some other Metalcore to check out if you don't already have it: Blood for Blood [Revenge on Society], Damnation AD [Kingdom of Lost Souls], Earth Crisis [Gommorah's Season Ends], Indecision [Release the Cure], One King Down [God Loves Man Kills], Straightfaced, Stretch Armstrong [Rituals of Life], Strongarm [Atonement], Strife [in This Defiance], and Vision of Disorder [Vision of Disorder].
