Johnvk
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to add xm radio to the SC-901? (2002 C-70 conv). I am NOT talking about adding an external device (ie. XM Commander) through an aux adapter. I desire a completely hidden installation (ie. xmdirect tuner) controlled by the SC-901 HU. NO external xm radio tuner. I know that Ipods can be controlled thru adapters utilizing the unused 8 pin CD changer connection. I have been unable to locate any adapters that will connect and tune a xm tuner. My SC-901 has functioned well thus I would just as soon not replace the hu. AM reception is about the only complaint I have with the unit. Any input would be appreciated.
flyfishing3
not possible if i read this right. i was going fast.as far as i know you need to add a usaspec thingy in the back and then have your srirus on the dash and work it that way. or remote maybe.but it won't work off the 901 buttons i believe. Johnvk
That is what I have discovered so far. USASpec aux input adapter plugged into 8 pin CD port in the back of the SC-901 HU and then a xm receiver plugged into the USASpec. All tuning and display is on the external receiver. The C70 does not have too much room to attractively m?ount the xm tuner. Any one made any cosmetically "nice" installations in the C70 convert
(n)A-GAME
Jeremy (user exexpat) did a pretty slick install of his zune in a C70. Search around, there's a thread somewhere with that
