decker Posted January 28, 2009 Report Share Posted January 28, 2009 xemodex is getting it today, fixing it today, and send i am getting it next day aired to me tomorrow.car has been sitting at my relatives since 6pm 1/25. @ 6:10pm 1/25 i had the ETM out.Don't forget to mention that your re-tuned software isn't going to be wiped out by the Volvo dealership and that you won't have to either re-tune it yourself OR send you ECU back to Viva, IPD or ??? to be reflashed. As I mentioned earlier in this thread (and another of my own)... my fear of going to the Volvo dealership would be getting the software update... a cleaning + a bill or another new ETM that will fail and losing the cars RICA tune only to have to pay for that again as I am not the owner who paid for the "tune" thereby forcing me to get it RE-TUNED and have to pay for THAT as well... which would REALLY suck. I wholly support this effort... and will most likely be sending mine in to see if it works with the RICA tune that is already in the car and avoid the dealerships software deleting abilities completely. "George" or whoever runs or is in charge of "Viva Performance" still hasn't returned my two emails in regards to this matter... maybe IPD would rather get my money in the future than them as they seem to reply to any dumb inquiry I've given them??? FWIW... I actually work in this "industry" so my expectations may be higher than most... just like my customers expect of me every day. If I piss them off... they'll spend their money elsewhere. I have a good feeling that XeMODeX won't disappoint me... I sent them a p.m. via this m.b. at around 5 o'clock CST... minutes later... I had a reply and plan to speak with them tomorrow.
