droot Posted December 27, 2008 Report Share Posted December 27, 2008 My wifes uncle owns a s40 2.4i 2005 and there is a raddle from the front of the engine compartment. It sounds as though it's coming from the air intake pipe I look a little closer and the air intake pipe is split at the elbow where the according like looking part meetings the elbow he had a volvo tech look at his car at his dealership and they said the raddling was coming from the inside of the air intake hose. Should his air intake be two different pieces with out a clamp? Should the dealership have replaced the whole thing. They mentioned some sort of recall on the air intake and they said that it was available for the s40.
