Recirc Bov Question

I wanted to recirc my BOV to the SAS inlet on the air box ( i have a 96 turbo so this would be a different airbox than stock...i don't have an sas pump) Will things get screwed up if I recirc before the maf as oppose to the stock set up which recircs the CBV after the maf sensor in the intake pipe?

You want the BOV to dump air AFTER the MAF since this is air that has already been accounted for by the MAF. If you dump it before the MAF, such as into the airbox like you are describing, the car will run rich on the dump, similar to went you vent atmospherically.

I don't think 96's had an SAS system, so count your blessings :tup: Probably a different airbox. Try to get one without the inlet at a junkyard so you aren't allowing unfiltered air in.

I'm not sure about this, but perhaps you can install a vacuum T off the inlet on the very bottom of the air intake tube and plug your BOV into the T, as well as leaving the stock hose to still access the pipe. The upper inlet could work though the one I had in mind is actually on the "back" of that picture and I think is a vent tube for the PCV system. Of course, running one into the hoses off the PTC valve is a bad idea.
