thank you ALL so much for your input. im like a kid in a candy store when i go on iPd, VMS, QBM, etc. then after i see their stuff, i always look on here to see if anyone's run it and what they've said... why should i (or anyone) never buy from VMS?? what's happend? i know iPd is the true-est, but they're just so darn expensive! so as long as i have the 15G, im already getting what i can out of it via iPd's stage I ecu? no point in getting a mbc for this then? and i should just do some stock Volvo plugs as well? i haven't put too many miles on the Iridiums and they seem to be doing alright - i only had to regap them when i got the stage I ecu. okay, so, just to make sure im not to bug any of you guys again - the ideal/reliable setup (without having to change any internals) is: 18 or 19t with iPd's stage III ecu, 3" DP and exhaust, and maybe a mbc to get this up to 20psi? i also saw on QBM that phenolic intake spacer? any of you guys do that? any noticible difference? what about injectors or a walbro fuel pump? c'mon, just gimme all the answers! haha, thanks you guys :lol:

that would be pretty much an ideal setup. but again, @ 20psi your going to probably need internals to run that for very long.

it seems a couple people have been ripped off by VMS. and they have THE WORST customer service.

yes, stock volvo plugs. but any of the mentioned COPPER plugs will be better than iridium.

p.s. Aaron, it doesn't look like iPd is going with TME exhausts anymore, they're selling Ferrita's? anyone have experience with those? build quality just as good as the ol' TME's?

Looks like you have some guys that will swear by Ferrita so that's awesome.

As far as the IPD/TME catback is concerned every so often one will pop up for sale used....if it does and you have the extra cash that is an excellent system, fits like a glove just as your stock setup does. The logo on the tip even comes out to be centered in the bumper opening with the IPD logo on top.

since we're on the topic of exhausts... have any of you guys ever done a custom DP that was LARGER than 3"? QBM sells flanges so you can make your own, so i was wondering if anyone did like a crazy 4" or something? and would there be any benefit of doing something like that? if you think about it, iPd sells their 3" DP, but the cat back is 2.5"? why didnt they make it 3" all the way? that's kinda like a dirtbike where the pipe is huge, then narrows or 'bottlenecks'... i know why dirtbikes do it - so that the exhaust particles explode out for power... same theory, or am i crazy? i race street bikes on the side so im always thinking mechanical... unless im wrong; than im just wrong. would you guys suggest custom over just getting a system from iPd? oh, and back to some origin here ya'll - am i to understand that i SHOULD still do a mbc, and just keep it set @15psi cause i'd still benefit from spool up time (quicker)? there's some turbosmart mbc's on ebay for like $69.

I went custom (Jon Sayre DP) 3" turbo back, like alot of others here. MagnaFlow(CarSound) CAT and 2 muffs

CAUTION: QBM might be out of business, or running w/ very limited customer support.

hey Mune, thanks for writing... WOW, talk of QBM going out of business actually makes a lot of sense - i put in an order for a lower engine mount, and that intake manifold spacer over a week ago, and they NEVER got in touch with me... they only have an email address, and location as to where to send payment (if you're going to pay via money order), but they have no phone number? anyone know anything for sure about what's up with QBM? if this is for real, that stinks, cause i wanted a set of their end links!

Yeah...QBM has/had some nice stuff. Word is the owner, is very ill.

i just read the post about QBM and i truely wish the friends and family of that company, well. you guys sell awesome products and i hope to do business with you! as for the rest of you guys, thank you SO much for taking time to read my posts, and more so to ever respond to them! please feel free to email me ANY time and please stay cool ya'll!
